Migraine Right side

After work yesterday, I conducted softball practice.  Then on my way home from practice I started feeling terrible.  My heart was skipping, and I felt like I could hardly lift my arms.

Soon after a migraine ensued, and I ate some food and popped a Vicodin.  I watched an episode of Survivor, but I didn’t get to excited about it.

Grandma’s funeral – Fort Wayne TinCaps

We gathered a little early for Grandma’s funeral.  However, it was a good service.  I was reminded of how tight are family is.

Landon and I needed to break away for a bit, so we went to Fort Wayne with Alice and caught a TinCaps game.  They won 2-1 and Landon was able to get his hands on a foul ball.

It was cold when the sun went down, but we stayed until the end.

Day 113
Joshua 3:1 – 5:12
Luke 22:1-38
Psalm 50:1-15

You hear about God splitting the Red Sea all the time, but I never realized that God allowed Joshua to do the same to the Jordan.  This time God had Joshua gather 12 rocks from the dried out river bed to put on display the glory of God.

Application: I think I should try and seek out material items that reflect God’s glory to help place his wonders in front of me, to make me realize that God has blessed me, in times of trials.

Joshua 5:13-7:26
Luke 22:39-62
Psalm 50:16-23

Achan story: If God is against you he can make your path treacherous.  Greed consumed Achan, everybody suffered.  Apply: Obey the Lord to receive his blessing, disobedience = hardship.

Grandma Velma — I miss ya.

The memories, the empty feeling when you realize that you hadn’t said goodbye.  I mean, you know; but you never really believe.  So then it hits you, even days after hearing the news; you aren’t going to see them again.

I didn’t realize her smile was so bright, but now that I look back it’s all that I see.  How did I miss that?  Why didn’t I hug her just a little longer?

Bible Study: I’m way behind!
Day 112

Joshua 1:1-2:24 — Joshua succeeds Moses and sends spies into Jericho to plan an attack.  Rahab invites the Israelites in and hides them.

Luke 21:5-38 — This scripture reminds us to keeps steadfast on the goal!

Proverbs 10:11-20 — I pulled a new favorite verse out of it!  I put it on my desktop background.

Diet and Exercise: not good at all!  Prolly gained a pound!

10 & under All Star Team

I have began coaching the 10 & Under Girls All-Star team, and they are teaching me so much.  This is a first for me, so I need to keep learning before every gathering.  I am unsure how we will do in competition, because I don’t know much about this competition level.  I do know that I will do the best job I know how to do.

Bible Reading Day 110 (I’m still two days behind)
Deuteronomy 30:11 – 31:29
Luke 19:11-44
Proverbs 48:1-8

In the New Testament reading there was a parable of Ten Minas.  I get the concept but didn’t know how related to God’s glory.  In the introduction in verse 11 it says he said this parable because people thought the Kingdom of God was going to appear at once (suddenly).  That confuses me even more.  How does this relate to using your resources to gain resources?  I suppose I’ll pray on that!

Breakfast: 2 special K bars (180); coffee (25)
Lunch: Taco Tuesday from Second Chance (700)
Dinner: Cabbage /w bacon; Parmesan noodles & Strawberries (1500)
Snack: granola bar (180), milk (200)

Total Calories:  2785 😦
Total Exercise: 2 hours of baseball practice — coaching 🙂

Jessica Alba

Down to 306! — 52lbs. Lighter

Well, I jumped on the shipping scales and I bounced between 308 and 304; so I took the mean.  My bike rides have been extended to about 4 days a week and they are usually for 7-10 miles and take about 45 mins to an hour.  The wind can definitely cause some disturbance during these spring months.

I am looking forward to the day that my scales dip under the 300 mark, that will be a great day of celebration for me.

Daily Bible Reading:
Day 108 for April 18 (I’m two days behind)
Deuteronomy 29:1-30:10
Luke 18:31 – 19:10
Proverbs 10:1 – 10

The “Chattering Fool”  in the last sentence in the proverb really stood out for me in today’s reading.  He says it twice (resounding) to the poem.  I think sometimes I am guilty of being a chattering fool.  I need to be aware of this and fix it.

Lori Loughlin

Lori Loughlin was a star of the ever popular “Full House” episodes.  I grew up watching her be a new lady on the sitcom.

Same ole

I have been doing a daily Bible study with my pastor Jeff, and Brad Rowles from a daily Bible that gives a certain amount of Old Testament, New Testament, and Proverb/Psalm that in the time frame of one year I will have the entire Bible read.

Today’s reading Day 105: Came out of Leviticus; and I get suprised by some of the old laws of the Lord, but today’s had to be the best.  Do you realize that in the old testament that if a soldier woke up with nocturnal emissions (wet dreams), that he was to leave camp and spend the day out of camp; take with him a shovel so that he could (well you know) into the hole he created, and cover up the excrement with dirt.  I was like WOW!  Talk about micro managing!!!!

I praise Jesus for Jesus!  Thank you for saving me from the Old Testament!

Breakfast: 2 special K bars (180); coffee (25)
