Government waste and non-profits

I just received word from someone who (recently moved away from a very large non-profit business) has been offered $30,000 to keep their name on the paperwork, and be a satelite correspondent (on a very minimal basis) for the company, if the government would need any information or signatures.

It is much more cost effective for this company to offer this contract to the aforementioned person, than it would be to send change orders for a company representative throughout the government process.

This government funded non-profit serves a very valuable purpose and I think that $30,000 could go far to improve this company, instead of someone’s pocket.
